Would you like to tell your teacher that they are the cat’s pajamas? Here’s how to place an ad…
The Fun Night program has a special place for teacher and student appreciation ads. Here are some ideas:
Please note: the Fun Night program no longer uses classroom ads (ads where all the parents put in money for one ad for their teacher).
Thank you very much for your understanding.
The form can be downloaded here: https://www.tcslj.org/page.cfm?p=258
Download the ‘donor packet’ and you will find the ad sizes and form.
All money raised from program ads goes toward Fun Night underwriting. If you are interested in placing an ad, the deadline has been extended to Wednesday, April 25. Please email Carey Noakes at cnoakes@tcslj.org.
Do you recall being a new family at TCS? The New Family Mentorship Program (formerly called the New Family Ambassador Program) is designed to support the newest members of our TCS community. By matching new families with current families (preferably with children in the same class and/or grade level), a mentor serves as an important information resource and a warm welcome to TCS. If we can recruit enough volunteer mentors, we hope to assign only two to three new families to each mentor. The program runs through late summer throughout the school year, however, the majority of the mentor’s effort will take place in the first three months of the school year.
If you are interested in becoming a Mentor Family, please email the program chair, Sandy Potter at potter7@attglobal.net or Admissions Director Rachel Ridgeway at rridgeway@tcslj.org. The recruitment period will end in May, and a Mentor Family Orientation (30 minutes in duration) will be held on 5/18/12 after Community Meeting.
Meeting will be held 9am in Kids’ Club.
PLEASE RSVP FOR THE WINE TASTING BY THIS WEDNESDAY, APRIL 18! We need a head count for wine and food. Looking forward to seeing everyone Saturday.
A warm thank you to Siobhan DeBenedetto and her crew of parent volunteers for organizing a wonderful POPS lunch on Friday. Thank you also Kate Fangman for organizing a special thank you to our specialty teachers. Without the help of our parent volunteers, these events would not be possible. Thank you!
Please join us to discuss Fun Night and other upcoming events.
Teacher appreciation days are a way to thank our wonderful teachers and administrative staff for all they do. Please check in with your room parent to see how your class is honoring your teacher. The PA is hosting a yummy bagel breakfast for the faculty and staff on Thursday, March 8, and a POPs lunch from Flippin’ Pizza on Friday, March 9.
POPS LUNCH still needs volunteers to supervise the blacktop and playground. We truly appreciate our parent volunteers, without you, the POPS lunch would not happen. Please also remember, POPS lunch is a cell-phone free zone. Thank you for your understanding.

Thank you to Adriana and Serge and their crew of volunteers for organizing the PANCAKE breakfast for our entire school. The pancake breakfast ran smoother than a diner on a busy Sunday morning. The kids loved the fluffy pancakes and toppings. Thank you again to everyone who helped make this a yummy, fun event! READ ACROSS AMERICA AND PAJAMAS AND PANCAKE BREAKFAST - FRIDAY, MARCH 2
Preschool - 8th grade students are treated to a delicious pancake breakfast, prepared by parents and grandparents. After the kids are sufficiently full, the entire school meets
at the Kelly Family Field to read for 2012 seconds. Don’t forget to wear your PJ’s! All sorts of volunteers are needed, chefs, flippers, runners, any diner experience is helpful!
